Wrangell-St. Elias National Park
The largest unit in the National Park System, Wrangell-St. Elias includes the continent’s largest assemblage of glaciers, and greatest collection of peaks above 16,000 feet on the North American continent.
The Chugach Mountains
The Chugach Mountains surround Prince William Sound. The range is about 300 miles long and 60 miles wide, with it’s base at sea level and it’s highest point being Mount Marcus Baker, at 13,176 feet. The Chugach Mountains receive more snow than any other range in Alaska with an annual average of over 600 inches.
