Sample Day By Day Itinerary - 8 day adventure cruise in Prince William Sound, Alaska.
The daily routine begins with a hot breakfast prepared by the chef. After breakfast the group will gear up for a day of activities. Generally, we kayak in the mornings and return to the boat for lunch. Each afternoon will be spent paddling, hiking, or cruising and enjoying the views. Upon returning to the yacht we will have a chance to shower and enjoy horsd'oeuvres and a drink before dinner. Our cook will prepare a mouth watering meal typically consisting of fresh Alaskan fish or any other creative alternative desired. Our anchors are always nice and protected offering a good nights sleep.
Day 1 - Meet at the shop at around 9:00 a.m. for an introductory lesson on sea kayaking. From there we go down to the boat to meet the captain and cook. We will paddle Shoup Glacier in the afternoon. Anchor for the night in Sawmill Bay state Park.
(Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 2 - Wake up to a hot breakfast and a scenic cruise to Glacier Island for a paddle with the sea lions. We will each lunch on board the charter boat and cruise to Disk Island on the north end of Knight Island. Â This is a long day of cruising but can offer the chance to see Harbor or Dall Porpoise. Disk Island is a beautiful and very well protected cove. (Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 3 - Hike to the top of "Bicker Mountain" and take in the panoramic Views. Cruise south to Mummy Bay for the evening. (Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 4 - Today is the best day to look for whales. The areas south of Knight Island and cruising to Whale Bay offer great chances to see Orca and Humpback whales. We will then set anchor in another nearby cove. (Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 5 - Cruise into Icy Bay and Nassau Fjord. Watch Chenega Glacier Calve from the comfort of the sailboat or paddle out into the icebergs.
(Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 6 - We are still keeping our eye out for whales and also enjoying an area great to watch harbor seals. Tiger Glacier is another destination we can cruise to the face of. (Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 7 - We are going to start heading back north through "Dangerous Passage" and then on to Glacier Island for the evening. We can go on a hike to get an overlook of Columbia Glacier.
(Breakfast) (Lunch) (Dinner)
Day 8 - The last day we will paddle in Galena Bay for the morning, getting the best chance to see large numbers of Bald Eagles and also spawning Salmon. We will return to port around 4:00 pm ending an unforgettable journey! (Breakfast) (Lunch)
