About Pangaea Adventures

Founded in 1996

Pangaea Adventures is proud to be an owner operated tour company offering guided sea kayak day trips, extended sea kayak tours, backpacking treks, sailing charters, and multi-sport adventures throughout South Central Alaska. During peak season we have a staff ranging from 8-12 full time guides. Because of this we have held onto the personal touches we feel are an important part of adventure travel and your vacations success. We take our years of experience in the field and add the customer service our clients have come to expect to create a truly amazing vacation. We are a happy bunch, and it is clear that we all love our work.

Mission

Our mission is to supply our guests with an experience which will bring them closer to the natural surroundings of Alaska in a way that balances recreation and education. Our tours are designed for the traveler interested in filling there days with a healthy amount of activity while getting the opportunity to really soak in the surroundings. The use of sea kayaks are probably the least intrusive vehicles to explore the wonders of the world. By way of foot and raft we can wind our way through mountain passes and deep into river valley for further exploration of Alaska's wild side.

We are an Alaska specialist in sea kayaking, backpacking and multi-sport adventure tours. When you join us, you are joining a company who only guides in these waters and these mountains. We offer the local knowledge!

Simply put, we guarantee our departures! We do not cancel due to lack of participation at the last minute. We are happy to accommodate any travelers who have had their previous plans change at the last minute. Call us to see what trips we have available, I bet we can help save your vacation. Many times we limit our trip participation an have room for 1-2 guests even on the final days before the trip.

2. Fresh food prepared by caring cooks! (Expand)

Our guides put in a full day of work just to prepare the meals for an extended tour. All of our guides have a passion for healthy hearty food with a zesty flare! We serve fresh vegetables, fish and meats when ever possible (this is Alaska!) You catch it, we cook it! Typical breakfasts would be oatmeal pancakes or smoked Gouda cheese scrambles and cereals. Lunches of grilled vegetable sandwiches garden burritos, or cold cuts, There are always snack plates of smoked salmon, fine cheeses, fruit, and dips. Dinners are the highlight with fresh Salmon or Halibut, grilled chicken, vegetable Risotto, salads, or Thai cuisine.
