Overview:
Meet in Anchorage the evening of day one. Travel to Whittier by Van and transfer to a motorboat for a scenic ride to Icy Bay. Spend 4 days in Prince William Sound kayaking, hiking and camping. Travel back to Anchorage via Whittier by motorboat and Van.

Day 1 - This is only a meeting day. We have a mandatory meeting at 6:00 pm at the hotel. The meeting lets the guides formally introduce themselves and give everyone a pretrip briefing. The guides will discuss the plan for the following 4 days and hand out dry bags so everyone can pack that night. The meeting will last for about an hour and a half.

Day 2 - The group will meet in the hotel lobby for the van ride to Whittier where we board a motor boat for the trip out to Icy Bay Camp. After setting camp, the guides will give a basic paddling instruction course and then the group will go for a short warm up paddle.

Day 3 - We paddle to the face of Chenega Glacier. The area is popular among the harbor seals. They commonly haul out on the ice in front of the glacier. Everyone will enjoy a picnic style lunch with views of the glacier. Sometimes we even see whales in the area.

Day 4 - There are some great hikes in the bay and today is always a good day for a hike. Explore the forests and coastal meadows. The area around camp is also interesting to explore. With an energetic group the guides will lead a paddle up icy bay towards tiger glacier.

Day 5 - The group will pack the kayaks and head across Icy Bay towards Whale Bay. Dual Head our favorite spot to look for whales. We commonly see humpback and Orcas in the area. We will be picked up by the motor boat just after lunch. The trip ends in Anchorage that afternoon.
